Hi I’m Claire, your confidential therapy partner & mindset coach
I’m Claire Evans, and if you’re here, you’re probably ready to cut the crap and do the real work to help you to navigate your life in the spotlight.
I’m a psychotherapist with over 25 years of front-line experience, trained in CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I’ve worked everywhere from secure psychiatric units, to on location and backstage, supporting my clients on the front line of fame. Helping people unravel the mess in their minds and rebuild something stronger and more resilient that enables them to enjoy life.
I trained as a psychiatric nurse and spent years working in inpatient and forensic services, including with young offenders. That background taught me more about human pain and resilience than any textbook ever could.
These days, I work with high performers, celebrities, creatives, public figures, and anyone who’s ready to stop performing and start healing.
I’ve spent over a decade as a psychotherapist at The Priory, working with everything from severe trauma to burnout in high-functioning professionals.
Alongside this, I’ve worked as the on-set psychotherapist for some of the UK’s biggest TV shows, supporting cast, crew, and creatives behind the scenes.
I’ve seen it all. The meltdowns behind the makeup. The pressure behind the performance. And the emotional cost of living life in front of an ‘always on’ audience.
That experience didn’t just shape me, it lit a fire under me. It made it clear just how little emotional support exists for people in the spotlight. And that’s why I do what I do now: helping high-profile individuals survive - and thrive - under pressure.

How I Work
I’m not here to nod and ask how that makes you feel.
I’m here to help you face and work through the things you’ve been avoiding, whilst giving you the tools to change them.
Working with me isn’t about endless talking. It’s focused, highly personlised and emotionally honest.
I combine deep therapeutic expertise with coaching-level clarity to get results that last. That means we don’t just look at your past, we also figure out what it’s still running in your present, and how you can take back control.
I work 1:1 with a small number of clients, often those in high-pressure roles. My clients include reality stars, high profile influencers, TV and stage actors, musicians, media industry leaders, public figures, an arena where showing vulnerability can feel risky.
I create a space where you don’t have to perform, please, or protect your image. Just bring your whole self, your whole wonderful self!
How I Got Here ~
How I Got Here ~
-
I completed my nursing degree at Birmingham university, which sparked my interest in mental health. I wanted to help those suffering from mental health crises and I decided at this early stage that this was my vocation in life.
-
I started my career in mental health by training as a mental health nurse. I completed my nursing degree specialising in mental health (RMN – Registered Mental Health Nurse), which gave me the clinical grounding and frontline experience I needed to understand the full picture of psychological care.
-
I next trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy, which is a powerful, evidence-based treatment originally developed to help people process trauma.
It works by helping the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel emotionally overwhelming. During EMDR, I use specific techniques like guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, while my client recalls difficult experiences.
It sounds unusual, but the science behind it is strong. It helps to "unstick" trauma that's been locked in the nervous system, allowing the brain to file it away properly so healing can happen.EMDR is particularly effective for PTSD, anxiety, and complex trauma, but I also use it with clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or held back by patterns they can’t quite shift. It’s one of the most transformative tools in my toolkit.

I have worked as a Senior Psychotherapist at The Priory Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of mental health and behavioural care for 0ver 15 years on and off. I have supported clients struggling with everything from depression and anxiety to trauma, addiction, and complex emotional issues.
It was high-pressure and deeply rewarding. I worked with individuals at breaking point, some in crisis, some in recovery, all of them looking for a way forward. My role involved delivering one-to-one therapy, group work, and developing personalised treatment plans, often as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team that included psychiatrists, nurses, and other specialists.
The Priory gave me the chance to work in depth with clients in a clinical setting, but also to lead mentoring junior therapists, shaping care programmes, and contributing to the wider culture of excellence in patient care. This experience really sharpened my clinical thinking and showed me just how transformational the right therapeutic support can be.

I first stepped into the TV and media world almost 20 years ago, working behind the scenes as an on-set psychotherapist on shows like The Trisha Goddard Show and The (now infamous) Jeremy Kyle Show.
At the time, it was a new kind of challenge. Taking my clinical skills into the world of television, supporting guests who were often in emotional distress and dealing with highly sensitive issues under intense public scrutiny. My job was to make sure they were psychologically safe both before and after filming, and to provide professional support in a fast-paced, often chaotic environment.
That experience taught me a lot about human behaviour in high-stakes situations—and how to cut through the noise to help people feel seen, grounded, and supported. It also opened the door to a broader media career, where I’ve continued to work on- and off-camera as a psychotherapist, expert contributor, and mindset coach across various productions.
I have worked as the on set psychologist, or psyche as we call it, on over 70 shows including, Big Brother, Ambulance, Made in Chelsea, TOWIE, Jordi Shore, First Dates, Survivor, Embarrassing Bodies, My Super Sweet, RuPaul's Drag Race, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, The Hotel Inspector, Master Chef, Pride of Britain Awards and The Invictus Games.

After years of working in clinical settings, high-pressure TV and filming environments, and mental health providers like The Priory, I naturally found myself becoming the go-to therapist for people in the public eye. The combination of my therapeutic training and media experience meant I understood both the emotional intensity of fame and the psychological cost of visibility - something not every therapist is equipped to handle, however experienced they are.
Becoming a celebrity psychotherapist and mindset coach wasn’t a career pivot, I’ve realised it was my true vocation. I saw first-hand how people in the spotlight often carry huge pressure - scrutiny, expectation, criticism - and how isolating this can be. Behind all the fame and adulation, celebrities are still human beings like you and I. They deal with anxiety, imposter syndrome, burnout, and unresolved trauma, often with nowhere safe , trusted or confidential to offload.
My role is to create that safe space. I work with high-profile clients to help them build emotional resilience, inner confidence, and a grounded mindset that can weather the demands of public life. It’s about staying centred when everything around you is performative, and doing the deep internal work that keeps you sane, strong, and authentic, both on and off the set or stage.
My Core Beliefs
Therapy isn’t for the broken, it’s for the brave. Getting help isn’t weakness. It’s the strongest, smartest move you can make when you’re done spinning your wheels.
You’re not the problem, your coping strategies just need an upgrade. Most of what we call “dysfunction” started as survival. Once we see that, we can change it.
Confidence isn’t a personality trait, it’s a habit. You don’t need to feel fearless to act with courage. Confidence is built through repetition, honesty, and emotional freedom.
High performance means nothing without emotional stability. Success without self-awareness is a ticking time bomb. You can’t outrun what’s going on inside you.
Growth starts with telling the truth. Not the version you tell other people. The real, raw, sometimes uncomfortable truth you tell yourself when no one’s watching. The stuff you can confidentially let me in on.
There’s no healing without discomfort. If you’re not willing to feel it, you can’t fix it. Simple as that.
You can be both self-aware and ambitious. This work doesn’t shrink you, it sharpens you. The better you understand yourself, the more powerful you become on stage, in the public eye and at home.
