Claire Evans Photography – A New Look!

March 4th, 2010

As most regular readers of my blog will know, I moved to my new studio in Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire in January. I have settled in really well and I’m so happy that I made the move – I love my beautiful new surroundings! The final pieces of my furniture (that have been on order for what seems like ages!) are due to arrive next weekend and I’ll post some pics as soon as I have chance. To coincide with my move I thought I should really celebrate with a new look for the business. So here is a sneak peek of my new logo and brand design! Many thanks go to my graphic designer and lovely friend Rebecca Bishop for all her hard work. Rebecca is working at present with ‘my web guy’ Tim to give my website a new look also – so watch out in the coming weeks for a change there as well!

Many thanks to my lovely friend and very talented graphic designer Rebecca Bishop for her stunning designs – I love them!. I am really looking forward to the show at the NEC this weekend and being able to see quite a few of my present clients and hopefully lots of prospective ones too!!!

Kate & Neil’s Pre Wedding Shoot – Branston Water Park

February 18th, 2010

On Tuesday it was over to Branston Water Park for Kate and Neil’s pre-wed shoot. They are getting married in April at Dunstall Church and their wedding reception is to be held afterwards at Packington Moor Farm near Lichfield. We met at Kate’s parents’ home as it is literally two minutes walk from Branston. The weather had been very hit and miss for the few days beforehand and we thought that we may have to re-schedule the shoot. I don’t know how we managed to actually miss the rain, hail and snow, but we did and were lucky enough to be out and about in the only bit of sunshine we had all day!

Marianne & Chris’ Pre Wedding Shoot – Callow Hall

February 18th, 2010

Marianne and Chris are getting married at Swinfen Hall in October and last Monday we arranged to meet at the stunning Callow Hall in Derbyshire. Although they were nervous, they said that they were actually looking forward to their pre-wed shoot and had arranged a lovely Winter mini-break at Callow Hall especially, so as to have a beautiful setting for their photographs. After our shoot it was back inside in the warm and we had chance to talk all about the plans they have made for their wedding day. I was so pleased to hear that they are actually using quite a few of the suppliers that I regularly work with, especially Ben the Cake Man and Entwined Flowers.

Joanne & Alan’s Pre Wedding Shoot – Swinfen Hall

February 18th, 2010

Last week I met up with Joanne and Alan whose wedding I am photographing in April, for their pre-wedding shoot. They are getting married at the beautiful Swinfen Hall near Lichfield and had asked to also have their pre-wed shoot there as they love the venue so much! It was such a cold February day but we still managed to get some great pics and also have a good chat. I should feel very much at home when I shoot their wedding, as I have carried portrait shoots for both of Joanne’s sisters and their families – so there are sure to be lots of familiar faces at the wedding!

Perfect Wedding Magazine Feature

February 4th, 2010

I was over the moon to recently be selected Wedding Photographer of the Year for 2010 by Perfect Wedding Magazine. If you check out this month’s issue there is a lovely feature all about me and my award, along with some of their favourite wedding images of mine. Also look out for next month’s issue, as two of the real life weddings to be featured, were photographed by me!!!

Katie & Ryan’s Pre Wedding Shoot – Hampton Manor

February 4th, 2010

A few weeks ago I met up with Katie and Ryan for their pre-wed shoot at the beautiful Hampton Manor in Hampton-in-Arden. It was a gorgeous snowy scene and although it was so cold it was worth braving the weather to get some great images. Katie and Ryan were so nervous about the shoot but they turned out to be one of the easiest and most fun couples to photograph. As we chatted they told me that they would have loved to have held their wedding at Hampton Manor but as they have such a large number of guests they had to choose a venue that could manage much greater numbers. Their wedding will take place at Hogarths in May but they decided to use Hampton Manor for their pre-wed shoot to ensure that it was still a part of their wedding celebrations.

Emma & Ashley’s Pre Wedding Shoot – Birmingham Botanical Gardens

February 4th, 2010

Emma and Ashley are getting married at the stunning Grafton Manor in March and we met up recently for their pre-wed shoot at Birmingham Botannical Gardens. Although the snow had been particularly heavy we still managed to have a great photo shoot. I have used the Botannical Gardens as a location for shoots on quite a few occasions just lately. It seems that when couples check out my blog and see just how beautiful it is there, they decide that they would also like to go there for their own pre-wed shoots (I should earn commission!) During our shoot Emma and Ashley were telling me all about their pets and of course I can’t resist talking about my little Dylan (he was one year old last Saturday!) Thanks to everyone who asks about Dylan – he is very well and just as naughty as ever!
